“kapaMEALya” is a combination of two words: kapamilya = family and meal = food.   Food brings people closer and turns friends into family.  KapaMEALya is all about bringing Filipino food, the culture and people together.  The group composes of foodies, bloggers, promoters and all kinds of different professionals who were brought together by food and social media.  We are here to promote, highlight, and exhibit the Filipino cuisine and culture.  By way of organized meals, chef demos, music events, and beer & wine pairings, we hope to open people’s minds, introduce new flavors and concepts, and build a network of Filipino food lovers while enriching and helping the community.  I’m proud to help form kapaMEALya and contribute to its success.
